Tim Simpson

Circus Performer

If there’s a coffee in your general vicinity, there’s a good chance it’s Tim’s. He began his University studies in physics, but soon swapped the theory for its practical counterpart. Graduating from the National Institute of Circus Arts in 2023, Tim is a multidisciplinary circus artist, musician, and prop maker utilising his own creations as an integral part of his performances.

Specialising in group acrobatics, aerial straps, acrobatic whip cracking, and meteor, Tim's most recent performances include performing group acrobatics at Melbourne fringe for Circus de Licious (2025), acrobatic whips with Kermond Creative Entertainment (2025), and Circus Oz’s show Havoc (2024) performing straps, acrobatic whips, table sliding, and group acro.

Tim is always looking for ways to utilise his skills from different areas together. Whether it be adding acrobatics to other specialties, utilising his prop building experience to improve an apparatus, or integrating live music into acts, he constantly seeks to come up with new ideas and provide the most interesting and engaging performance he can!
