Des graduated from the VCA with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Music Theatre). Since then, he has performed in several musicals, notably as Christian in Moulin Rouge! The Musical Australia (Global Creatures), for which he was nominated for Best Performance in a Musical by TimeOut Melbourne. Most recently Des completed the Australian Tour of CATS (CrossroadsLive) in the role of Rum Tum Tugger and performed the role of Leo in JRP’s production of The Producers at Hayes Theatre.

Other highlights include Handa Opera’s West Side Story on Sydney Harbour, Thomas in The Beautiful Game, and Nathan in One Day in September with Perryman Theatre Company. Additional credits include Grease the Arena Experience (Harvest Rain) and Performance of a Lifetime with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.

Screen credits include T-Bone in Neighbours and the acclaimed short film Rabbits, directed by Riley Sugars, which earned him a Best Lead Actor nomination at the Black Bird International Film Festival in New York.
